Hi i hope i can be helped, i got a Fiat Punto 1999 model. 1.2 engine.

My problem is when i try to change gears its sticking and you have to force them in, and its crunching, Also this only happens when the engine is on... Does not happen when its off..

may have run low on gear oil

how is your clutch does it operate normally when setting off

have a look under the car and see if there is any oil around the drive shafts were they exit the gearbox

could be the slave cylinder or a leak in the clutch fluid., have a look under the battery area for fresh looking oil on the gearbox,.,.,
