Best DRL's & Sidelight bulbs are the Mtec ones
Best Headlight bulbs are Osram Nightbreakers.

Do you not rate the Osram Cool Blue 4000k?
Not really, they have no extra power over your standard bulbs the only difference is the colour but I personally think that there are better choices available for both power & colour… but that’s just my opinion.

Just before i buy a pair of night breakers, is the fitting H4? and will the pair do dipped/main beam or am i going to have to buy others?
Yes H4 fitting, Cheapest i found was powerbulbs on ebay and yes the bulb is main and dipped beam

Got myself a set of nightbreakers. Ive put them in but i cant clip them into place its really fiddley, so at the moment they are loose. Any else had this problem? if so is there any knack to getting them secure and in?
JP, I've just fitted a pair of Nightbreaker Plus this evening and OUCH I feel ur pain. What a rubbish design for such a simple task!!! I've no idea how to explain the 'knack'...all I can say is keep pushing the clip up and over back into the top, wiggle it left or right a bit around the connector then push it some more till it eventually clicks...
Anyway, well worth the effort. I dont know if you guys are fitting the Plus' or just standard but these are +90%, great white light on the road but also give a bit of blue when looking at the car. Goes nice with the MTEC sides & DRLs
Hey does anyone know how to get the DRLs to stay on when you flick to dipped main beam???

No you cant get them to stay on.
and yeah the headlights are a bitch well the pass side is, but theres a knack to it which ive mastered now, so if anyone local needs a hand let me know.
The nightbreakers are awesome but i love just the mtec drls, they are awesome. blue from close up but so white from a far.
the car looks 10000times better with them.

Just got my 60 plate Punto Evo two months ago.. now ordering MTECH super white T20s and 501s, and Osram nightbreaker unlimited after reading this thread...
the thread is 3.5 years old..,

So... I got the bulbs and replaced them.. It was easier than I expected, I followed this guide btw, [ can't post links yet, attached a text file with the link if anyone needs it ] . Also had to follow the instructions about using a flat head to remove the H4 connectors.

They are blue when off, no too much reflective ? Don't like the blue style, but love pure white style...
