Ok, I got my ppi claim through yesterday and we are going to have a look around for a 500. Looking at 10/60 plate 1.2 sport.

What do I need to look for while inspecting the cars?

I have read about:

water in the footwell
Mould in the boot/water in the spare wheel bay
Rusty top mounts

What elts is there to keep an eye out for?

Water in the footwell is very uncommon
So is mould/water in the spare wheel well
The top mounts don't rust, it's only the washer at the top and that doesn't affect functionality.

That's good then, I have had a look at the guide before it's very good. What have people looked for when buying secondhand?
