most eco White pandas have factory fitted bars

no idea why. But annoying as I keep waving at the wrong person

much higher chance of them Turing up second hand now 2009/10 cars are being scrapped

good luck in your hunt

Be careful screwing into the roof mounting holes. Fiat use a lot of self-cleaning bolts. When they go cross-thread, you won't feel the bite until it's too late and your threads are wrecked. Personally I would try a normal bolt, if it's tight, run a taper tap down then try the normal bolt again. Use a good anti seize paste on the threads from top to bottom.

I did exactly that on my roof when I fitted the bars, mainly because 2 of the plastic blanking plug sheared off so I had to drill and tap the holes before fitting them.

The bars have served me well as I sourced a set of the cross bars to go with them.

With an added roof box there was more than enough room for a weeks worth of clothes etc for 4 people [emoji106]

This is definitely sounding more daunting and less straight forward than I had thought. Im wondering if using a heat gun set low might be a good idea.

Ok so three came out fine but one broke. Panic set in so I used an undersized drill and drilled out as much plastic as I could. Then I tried an M6x1 tap in one of the other holes which seemed to be fine. So took the big step of trying to retap the hole. The tap eventually bit and I hopefully have rethreaded. I tried an M6 bolt I had lying about and it screwed in although went tight after a few turns. So then I ran a bottoming tap down the hole and the bolt seems to screw in easier. Not sure what will happen when I put the rail bolts in or what I will do after that

Well done on sorting it.

should be fine.(y)

Well hopefully I have. Im going to be positive about it when I fit them tomorrow.

On another positive note just got back from a 100 mile round trip to collect my rails and Paolo never missed a beat.
