Hi
With the dealer by us still shut, does anyone know where I can source 4x4 sump guard bolts from. It looks like a number of these weren't replaced at its most recent service at a non-franchise dealer (either that or they fell out).
I want the correct spec as I assume they are rust resistant.

Thanks if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, anyone know a source or the spec for them?
At the moment we have a guard only fastened with 3 bolts, out of 6 and it is clanging over bumps!

It is a 2010 petrol 4x4. The guard has 4 bolts at the front, two each side and bolts either side at the rear, I think one each side but not certain

they will be standard metric

I don't have a 4x4 the measure for you

if you don't have any callipers to measure with wrap some paper around the thread and mark of the circumference and divide by 3.14

I wouldn't use stainless steel. Dissimilar metals accelerate corrosion.

if you are lucky Wilkinsons might have them you can stuff as many as you can get into there pick and mix bags including washers.

Srewfix has a nice selection if you don't want to use ebay

The only thing I know about bolts is that there are lots of different types and they can have different threads

If you mean the large headed bolts with a torx key fitting, replace them with flange headed stainless and heavy duty "repair" washers (20mm or 25mm - you'll have to check). Use plenty of anti-seize paste because the spring steel clip nuts will rust against the stainless.

M6 Flange button head stainless - eBay number 321232365051

M6 Heavy Duty Repair Washers - ebay number 174202814699

M6 Chimney nuts (clip nut) stainless - eBay number 253126993841 (Germany)

M6 Chimney nuts (clip nut) galv - eBay number 293472950712

Always use a good anti seize paste because stainless to stainless galls (self welds) and stainless to carbon steel causes rapid corrosion.
