Technical Raio code entering

I few weeks ago a radio on my Panda started playing and I have noticed that the radio keeps switching itself on and draining the battery.
I bought the same radio model from ebay but now I have a problem to put a code. According a radio book digits on code can be from 1 to 6 only.
A few years ago I changed a radio on my wife's Panda without any problems but I don't remember how I put a code.

Hi.
Looked in the handbooks,and...
You may not need to enter a code, but if you do, the instructions say that the code only uses digits 1-6, and you enter them using the buttons marked 1-6.
Your code has a 7, so either it is wrong or it is a radio not covered by the Sound System supplement.
How did you get the code?

I used an aplication BP calc v1.0 - not a 1st time and always I have got working code.

The code apps quite often generate a different code for Fiat radios. Some have a checkbox or menu option you need to select. Some display a second code. Probably some only generate the standard code. If your one doesn't give you a Fiat code, try posting a request in the "one and only radio code" thread.

I was under the impression, maybe wrongly, that the original-fit radio was 'coded' to the car's ECU. SO, not sure if you need a dealer to reprogram that if you've moved the radio from a different car?

The body computer certainly stores the radio code in non-volatile memory, so you don't need the radio code if you disconnect the battery. If you fit a radio from a another car, it will prompt for a code; I'm not sure if the body computer then automatically refreshes the NVRAM or if you need to input the code again if power is subsequently lost.

If you have the correct code, it should be possible to get the radio working without visiting the dealer.

If you need a code, please post a request in this thread.
