2005 Panda 4x4, sqeak started then worsened. Then a judder/vibration began just after take off? It goes away when speed is built up. Garage (not Fiat) says it may be transfer box or diff. Anyone had this/cured this and at what cost? Could it just be the viscous coupling gone?

I had a thud on acceleration - it was the rear diff mounts.

That may be fuel related however.

Really nasty vibration almost like brakes binding badly.

Vibration not there when prop is removed and front wheel drive only.

There are similar threads about this. Have a search.
Likely to be the centre mount for the prop, or diff mounts. New mounts are available. Mechanical problems in the gearbox or diffs much less likely.

Just ordered a brand new propshaft from FIROW in Cheshire. About £250 with vat!! They have a couple left on the shelf and can get more if they sell.
