I'm thinking of buying a 2007 - 2009 ish 1.3 diesel, do they have a DMF?

I don't think so ,if they do they definitely don't give trouble .A good early / mid 2005 like mine will give less trouble as it doesn't have a DPF .The clutch can slip in Diesel Pandas but that does NOT mean it needs replacing .Mine has been doing so for 30-40k .It also returns 68mpg per tankful like clockwork on a long daily commute ( ideal driving route /conditions admittedly but with the odd city trip)
Mine is now at 154k miles .They eat front tyres and radius arms pretty fast but on balance a good one should still save 20-50 per month even compared with a small petrol .
Kind of hard to know what to replace it with ? Mini Cooper D ? Might keep it and see if I can hit 200k .
