Strut Brace

Would there be any improvement in road holding by having a "Strut Brace" fitted to a 1.2L or a 100HP Panda.?

Well they are trying to sell them aren't they? Don't believe everything you read!

Have a look at how close the strut tops are to the engine/cabin bulkhead. Newer cars are much stiffer than older cars that used to have the strut tops much further forward from the cabin/engine bulkhead. I just can't see it making any difference apart from a bit of added blong.

... and weight

Look under the bonnet of a Mk 1 Escort and you'll see maybe 18 inches of inner wing between the tops of the struts and the bulkhead, and the inner wings are very flimsy. A strut brace 'might' help here.

But look at the Panda and one side of the suspension 'turrets' is actually formed by the bulkhead, so a brace will make no measurable difference at all.
