I'm scratching my head over the Supersprint stainless de-cat manifold. Still 2 years until an MOT is needed. Just curious as to the level of increases in noise and more importantly performance - if anyone could shed any light on that one would be greatly appreciated. I mean, if I could just go somewhere in this country to get it remapped then I probably wouldn't consider it because personally I think 115/120bhp would be just right for this car. Any more and the cost of attaining it would just say 'go out and get something with a bigger engine'. Which I will in a few years (20VT :slayer:)

Cheers

It's got the holes for the sensor to go into though, would that still cause an issue?

There may be an issue with engine management lights. There's a pre and post CAT lambda sensor, it'll throw up a warning if you don't have the CAT fitted.

I'm trying to get this message through to one of our members on performance stilo..he is having a system built on friday by MJ performance and having a decat pipe made up.. I tell him to go sports cat but do you think he will listen :bang:

My Cooper S was de-cat and it had holes in the decat pipe for the sensors. The emissions light stayed on all the time but had no side effects with the running of the car. As for noise.....

Standard exhaust system - quite loud
Fitted Performance Manifold + Sports Cat - Twice as loud
Replaced sports Cat with De-Cat - even louder!

But I did have a centre silencer but other than that it was straight through, very loud when you booted it but fine when you were pootling around.

Attached is the FULL supersprint system you could get.. or merge with the ragazzon setup.

Also I dont think the Manifold is de-cat in the pic attached in my first post it shows all the exhaust comonents.

1. Manifold
2. CAT or Straight through pipe
3. Centre Section
4. Backbox

I think if you just bought item 1. the manifold this will bolt onto the exisiting cat on the 100hp. Can anyone confirm this, not had chance to nosey under the car!

Hi

Did anyone figure this? I'm after a straight bolt on system for my 100HP that keeps the CAT. Do Supersprint do this and does anyone know if they have agents in the South-East Surrey that can supply and fit this?

Cheers
