I have resisted getting the roof rails for my Panda Sporting as I felt they might look a bit odd with the stripes and body kit on the car, but I have decided to sell my beloved Merc W123 Estate and the boot mounted bike rack I got for my Fabia won't fit because of the Panda's rear bumper extension and tailgate spoiler. I want to carry my bike about sometimes so it might have to be done. What do you reckon? will it look ok??

Not really a fan of Pandas without roof bars - they look odd. HOWEVER your car looks great in side profile and it would look odd with the roof rails. I never used to like the Panda in black but yours looks brilliant!

Hi,

Personally I think the panda looks better with the roof bars. Yours should look like one I prepared earlier - ok not a sporting but should give you an idea!!

Cheers

I as yet do not own my Panda 100hp, i did look at ones with roof bars and I have to say no.

I personally would say no on a aerodynamics front, I am sure someone will be able to tell me if it actually makes any difference. And secondly I think it kills the GRRRR of the car if that makes any sense. It goes from looking a bit of a monster to a seeming like a sedate practical run around.

Personally I would invest in some quick release hubs for the push bike fold the seats down and stuff the bike in the boot!! As an added advantage you have no need to worry about it bouncing down the road as well!

Of course this is all conjecture on my behalf as I don't yet own a Panda and have yet to try and put a bike in it!
