Hi,

any advice how to mount front splash guards without screws?? We have really tough winters here with loads of gravel on thew roads and I want to protect underbody as much as possible.
And no, I dont want to drill screws into brand new wings... Heard of someone glued flaps with some construction "Mamut glue", I dont think its safe for paint..??.

Thanks

Have you bought the mudflaps yet?

Usually when I have bought mudflaps for any car they come with clips which clap the mudguard to the lip of the wheel arch, then you tighten them up to securely hold everything together, no drilling holes in anything.

If the kit comes with screws you can usually still fit them with some universal "mudflap clamps" which you can buy on places like ebay

Yes, but that claps are mostly metal and Iam worry it will scratch paint..?. Maybe some plastic version?

No I didnt buy yet, any links??

Thanks.

They are metal and as pointed out they have to be unless you want them to drop off easily. If really worried about the paint you could use a strip of plastic in between the clip and the paint to offer some cushioning or some tape, but essentially anything that you put against the pain will accumulate dust, grit and grime an will all eventually mark the paint in one way or another. Even a plastic clip will scratch and damage paint.

The biggest enemy to mud flaps is snow, in bad weather it sticks to them, builds up and weight a hell of a lot and actually pulls them off with the extra weight.

Dont go buying cheap chinese universal ebay flaps
Buy proper flaps to fit the panda exactly
Why spend all that money on a car and fit cheap flaps that will fall off .
All decent flaps are clamp on there is no way around this, even fiat flaps clamp and screw on and if you want them to last and look good year after year this what you are going to have to do

As Griffin said buy the real deal, genuine fiat mud flaps, they might cost more but are specifically designed for your car and will fit perfectly.

Cheap ones might have poor fitment, which causes them to vibrate, fall off or slip out of place, all of which can cause damage to the paint work which is exactly what you wanted to avoid.
