General Buying a new panda cross

Are there multiple discount deals (other than the affinity or privilege schemes) from fiat? That's why I'm a little confused as I understood there wasn't.

The quote I've received doesn't have breakdown of cost, so it's difficult to see where the extra £1k has come from!

Cheers
Those are the only two schemes and they change again at the end of March. I've only looked at Affinity.

The prices shown are for a basic car (in white) so you have to add on the cost of extras (e.g. another colour) but everything you add is subject to that discount.

Perhaps you should configure your car on the FIAT site and then remove the 22% and ask the dealer to explain the discount/difference. I had a similar experience with the dealer until I emailed the Affinity list and politely requested them to pick the bones out of it, having emailed FIAT sales.

...I've got the Waze 4x4 on order in minimal grey. I've traded my 2014 1.2 Fiat Panda in turquoise in as I wanted the twin air engine.
I hope you are ready for the 'economy' of the TwinAir in the 4x4... Fiat have now (finally) put the latest WLTP ('real world driving') figures on the UK website. The TwinAir achieves an 'amazing' 37.7mpg (quite a drop from their previous claims!)

I'm a long time lurker first time poster. I've got the Waze 4x4 on order in minimal grey. I've traded my 2014 1.2 Fiat Panda in turquoise in as I wanted the twin air engine. I'm so excited and was told by the dealer last week it was at the port waiting to be loaded. Not long to go. I hope you get the one you want.
Hi, Just out of curiosity, and to sound really nerdy, do you know what brakes are fitted yet. I noticed on another post (I think) that the Waze has drum rear brakes but the 4x4 has disk rear brakes. Just wondered what was fitted to the Waze 4x4. I did email Fiat and was very surprised to receive a phone call this afternoon from Fiat in Italy trying to help answer the question. Unfortunately the poor lady was embarrassed to admit she couldn't find the info. :(

That's good to know that fiat only do the two schemes. I've emailed the latest affinity prices through to the dealer asking if it was the basis for the quote. Hopefully that'll sort it.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not interested in that. I love the Fiat Panda and wanted more oomph than the 1.2 can give me. I guess with everything there is a compromise.

Sorry I don't know.

The dealer should supply you with an itemised quote, as a matter of course. You shouldn't have to do their work for them!

Very likely the Waze 4x4 version will have rear discs - the rear drivetrain will all be from the 4x4. Note though that the Waze 4x4 was a very short run offer, now too late.

85bhp in 4x4, 90 in the Cross 4x4 (according to Fiat’s ‘not always right’ website). Either way, still better than the 1.2 - and, more torque too for the hills.

Not sure about the cross but the Waze 4x4 is 90 bhp but like you say way better than the 1.2 bhp. Will post pics once it has arrived...

We went to see the dealer yesterday, had a test drive in a 500 twin air, love the sound the engine makes when pushed! We seem to like the marmite engine.

I asked about the affinity and privilege deals (it turns out my work makes me eligible anyway) the dealer is going to get back to us with costs for both. (Although not heard anything yet...)

The delivery times are quoted at 12 weeks, but usually nearer 8 for a new build, it looks like there's a few in bound anyway, but non with all the options we'd like.

So Yellow Cross, with winter pack, DAB radio, spare wheel and tinted windows hopefully on order soon!

Thanks for all the help.

For info, I found that tints of the best available quality can be added after purchase at a lower price than Fiats. Guaranteed for the life of the car. Takes half a day.

The Waze 4x4 deal came to an end at the end of February, I think. The basic Waze is still on offer though.

Panda :)

Thats a nice Tipo. What sort of MPG do you get. My Bravo is approaching 100K and may be up for change in the next 12-18 months the 1.3 sounds tempting.

I ordered my waze 4x4 on 31st Jan and was told 9-13 weeks. currently no sight nor sound of it at all.

And don't visit Boughton On The Water as they hate yellow cars there!

Why so? Intrigued! :chin:

Edit: Aah, the power of Google. It's the village that objected to the yellow car spoiling the tourist pics, right?

Some people have no soul.
