My Panda 1.2 is only 4 years and 53.000 km but I'm thinking of the moment when I'll need to replace the distribution / timig kit.
I found this one, that changes belt for chain:

http://www.ebay.es/itm/KIT-CATENA-D...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Does anybody know anything about it? For good... or not, I'd only like information, please. It's suppose to be noisier, but it will never need any kind of maintenance. I like to make all minor reparations, but surely I'll need to take the car to the mechanic for the kit replacing.

Thanks!!

Hi,
I think that kit is for the diesel. A chain needs lubrication and the kit does not include any bits to provide that. The "1.3" diesel is only 6cc larger than the "1.2" petrol and as both are under 1.25l they should both be rounded down to 1.2. Maybe the Spanish parts suppliers use the real capacity.
Belt to chain conversion is not a simple job.

I can't believe it's feasible, apart from anything else, what would drive the water pump?

Hi.
For the mj 1.3 diesel..
Its a timeconsuming job....

See the PANDA section for lots of good info.

Both good and bad experiences.

The 1.3 diesel is used in MANY vehicles
From @10 manufacturers.

Thanks guys!! It is written in Italian, I thought it was for the 1.2 gasoline.
Then I'll forget it, but it was only curiosity...

I've passed all revisions in the official service (not so expensive in our cars after all...) and I care my Panda and bike as if they were gold.

Thanks again and Happy Hollidays!!!

Maybe because I've copied the address from my watch list, in the Spanish web. But in my browser (Chrome) it is Italian, the item comes from Italy and I haven't translated it. Strange Things XDXDXD...

In Spanish it should say "Kit Cadena de Distribución... envío internacional económico... artículo de repuesto..." etc.

Now, try this, i'ts the same but from the ".com" international web:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/KIT-CATENA...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

¡¡Felices fiestas y próspero año nuevo a todos los amigos Pandistas!!
