Alloys had a makeover

Hold on a minute guys... what youre saying about not being able to spray wheels is Bull***t!!!!!!!
1. Ive sprayed the wheels of my cousin's Integra Type R (from white to Black, with no primer and lacquer) and they been on the car for 10 months, not a scratch not a flake!
2. Ive sprayed the wheels of his cinquecento, black, no primer or lacquer, theyve been about 6 months and not a scratch
3. And ive also sprayed my own wheels black, (but i reversed into a pavement whilst leaving the local pub   ) so theyre not so black anymore, but ill just spray them again and this time wont scratch them!

... Point is spraying wheels isnt a waste of time!!! Infact they look much better than they did standard!!!

Where you pissed when reversing?????????

Cla@ssy Bird if your still watching this are your alloys still looking good because im sure that a lot of people would want to know. I personally wouldnt want to sparay alloys but if it does work it could be a cheap alternative to many people or has anybody else done similar with good/bad results.

I did mine over a year ago and bar some petrol damage and a few chips from sockets mine are in good nick.

errm, i take it the people who are saying that you cant spray wheels are the ones who havent done it.,

i have white wheels and i painted them nearly 3years ago:eek: and they still look great, although they do have some minor kerbing as expected with any wheels.,(y)
i think the OPs wheels look great and really suit the car too but to samsonite, i wouldnt recommend painting them without laquer and primer at all, firstly coz the primer means you dont need as much paint and helps the paint stick and secondly coz the laquer makes it easier to remove brake dust off the wheels and makes the wheels shinier too.,(y)

Painting is fine. Done loads and they always seem to last fine aslong as the prep is okay.
Only problem I can see with painting them is if you just start spraying without any sort of prep.
On top of the brake dust and the grease and crap and if you daft enough to do that then your obviously gonna have problems.
