Fiat dealers, dying breed ?

Fiat dealers, dying breed ?

Most definately, they were a Fiat franchise until 10 -11 years ago but then lost the franchise, however, they are a Fiat approved service centre so can carry out all warrenty work on behalf of Fiat. I understand that Fiat want them to be a sales franchise again but don't believe the owner wants it because of the cost incurred. Think his name his Ken Smith and the business was set up by his father - hence JCS (initials)

ok chaps, i will keep them in mind,,thx for your help (y)

Just seen this thread, JCS kegworth is a good garage got my car frm there.

Evans Halshaw in Mansfield is still open BTW it's just moved to a different part of the complex, it's called "motorhouse evans halshaw FIAT" now

ahh, thats it then, my sister lives at the side of it and she said it has closed :( , but then that good then as i get more choice (y) , now which do i choose :p

thx folks

Squeaky brakes will be new modified pads fitted but I dont think you will need a steering rack...infact I dont know of a rack being replaced for months now.

hmm, well someone told me on here that what they had done to theres ?, but im cool if they can fix it without changing it, my problem is knocking when going over slight bumps, and knocking when turning left or right

What I ment is that its been along time (as far as I know) since a replacement rack has been fitted, they all seem to of been done now. When did you get your car & was it pre-registered?

Got the car 2 weeks ago (ish), its new with no miles, but it has been sat around for a while apparently, i found some stickers saying 07-2006 on it (its a 56 plate though), is there a proper way of telling when it was built

they have deffo been there since September (if that's when new reg came out) because i saw them, they had about 6 in all
ps how long to fit a rack, and are they hard for the dealers to source ?

thx mate

shaun

ps, woman on the phone of JCS sounded very helpfull, and said she would do me a coffe while i waited

yeh i thought they were still there, but i just couldnt find there phone number anywhere, if you do find it could still pm me it please (y) (as with the Fiat i feel i may need it), i know were the Pub is, in fact my sister lives at the back of the garages there, but she told me the garage had gone, so which bit has it moved to ?,anyway i got it booked with JCS now and they seem OK, you see its bad enough for me that a new car is needing such work, but its very important to me that i get treated nicely by a dealer (this doesn't happen much these days tho), how do you find Mansfield are with you ?

Thx chap
