Hi guys,

So I really want to be able to play music off my iPhone through my speakers, so am thinking of buying one of the cables that goes into the back of the radio unit to give a aux input.

I found this one on ebay:
3.5mm Jack Radio CD Aux IN Gold Plated Input Adapter Lead Cable for Fiat Grande Punto 2007 Ipod Iphone MP3 Mobile phones + Radio Keys: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

But it says that it wont work on Blue and Me models which my car has. Is this actually a problem or will it be fine, As I cant see why having blue and me will effect an aux input.

Any help is much appreciated

On a side note, ever since i've had the car the blue and me system cant seem to hear me, when ever it asks me to say a command it doesn't respond to anything that I say.

Again any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks guys,
Jack

I don't have a GP, so someone scream if I'm wrong!

The reason it may not work (all speculation!) is not because of blue and me itself, but because it's a newer radio. On the 500s, anything post '10 will not work with that cable. It's odd!

Ahhhh yeah I see what you mean, that seems like a good explanation for why it wouldnt work.

I just really want an aux cable but i don't want to put a new radio unit in as I think they sometimes make the centre console look a bit weird, I like the look of the standard finish.

Yeah, I just cut my losses and got a smart Pioneer one. Doesn't clash too badly, same colour lights, none of that garish carbon fibre!
