I have a 98 punto 1.2 16v which has decided to go and overheat on me! I know this is an age old problem with fiats, and I would have no problems replacing the gasket if this had of been an 8v engine, but as luck would have it, it seems I need an arsenal of special tools just to do this job!! I have a full mechanics tool box, but no fiat special tools, I have checked out buying these tools but am a bit reluctant to splash out the best part of £80 for tools I'll only use once! :bang: Is there anything I could use in place of these 'special' tools to lock the camshafts? And is it really necessary to slacken/tighten the camshaft sprocket when timing the engine up?!! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
