Yeah, something like that... except you missed the bit where we got invaded by Aliens and they blew the factory up.

i thought it was because they were a crap car and no one was buying them. so they ended up going bust. remember hearing that the build quality was terrible and they leeked wen the littlist bit of water went near them and the engines they used wernt all that great either
 
John Delorean has died at the age of 80 the Delorean car Co was based at Dunmurry and recieved £80 million of public money to creat 2000 jobs the car was riddled with faults and unreliable he was still wanted in this country on fraud charges .His company went bankrupt in 1982 but the car lives on.RIP John.
 
most deloreans that exist now have been totally rebuilt by the owners with all new electrics etc. the engines are pretty bomb proof, but the rest is of good quality just poor build and frankly crap quality control, i/e cars leaving factory with major componants missing or not even bolted together atall:eek:
