The part to finish the exhaust on my Fiat Coupe that should have arrived yesterday was marked as dispatched today. :bang:

Grrrrrrrrrr!

I can't even work on a Fiat that fits to get over the 124.

I don't fit in the new Spyder.

Move the seat back and it's up against the rear bulk head and it's stuck upright. Have it a little forward and a enough of a lean and I have to sit with my legs open like a vagifresh advert because the steering wheel doesn't go high enough.

:bang:

Still not as bad as the SLK I drove last week. I couldn't get in or out of that without swearing.

Is it that small or are you a man mountain?!

Fifteen and a half stone.

Barely above average at best.

Right there are (were) five new cars I was interested in.

The Alfa 4C Spider
124 Spider
Alfa QV
Ecoboost Mustang
Lotus Evora 410

The QV will not be sold in the UK with a proper gearbox so she's out.
The Evora is too much (even with my new job on the horizon).
The 124 is too small. As soon as I told my mate this he said...

"Oh the 4C is even smaller".

Arse! :bang:

The nearest Mustang dealer is in Essex. :(

Everything else new are clones for clowns. The new Tipo with a T-Jet would be nice (even if it does look like a five year old Skoda Fabia). :)

Puncture in the AA Fiesta.
Changed wheel, off to KwikFit.
Waited an hour, to be told no stock, be here tomorrow. Could they not have told me that an hour before?
Now running on the spare, limited to 50mph, so up earlier tomorrow for trip to Gloucester.

So not Kwik, and no Fit. Fail on both counts.

Strange AA driving school uses kwik fit when AA has a deal with national tyres for AA tyres.

Separate divisions. Perhaps they don't talk to each other. Would seem to make sense to us looking in though.

Returned today. Not ready, so had to wait while they fitted tyre to wheel, balanced and then fitted to car. Took 20 minutes. I could have done it in ten!

Note to self: Must look up meaning of Kwik (Quick), perhaps I've misunderstood.

Done the tax return for 15-16 tax year. A bit later than ideal, as deadline is 31st. Bit of a shock. Was ill last year, sickness insurance paid well, but without expenses, profit was higher than normal, so tax more than expected. Then they want half again as pre-payment for next year. Ouch! Now, where's the nearest soup kitchen?

I'm turning into a right grumpy bunny, 3 posts in a row.

First, tailgate electric switch refused to work today. Another job to take apart again. Might have to rig up a new switch from Maplin.

New wipers are rubbish. Got some of the new 'aero' type just a few weeks ago. But the pressure onto the screen is poorly spread, unlike the old original style. The drivers blade loses about an inch of each end until half-way up the screen, the passenger blade loses about 1" from the outer end and 2" from the inner end until half-way up. The driver's blade also frequently leaves a streak across the centre poorly wiped, right in the middle of my view. The Fiesta does this too, and they're standard fit. My guess is that the single sprung blade spreads the load lightly leading to not pressing onto the screen at the ends, and taking pressure off the middle. At least the older style tries to spread the pressure evenly. New older style ordered.

They've been dropped, heavily, by the courier, or possibly by the buyer. Would need quite a bump with the speakers facing upwards, to drop them out of their housings like that.

Perhaps the courier might like to comment.

Unlikely to be a deliberate attempt by the buyer to return it unwanted.

At home: Have an electric radiator not working, called the landlord Monday last week. Called him again this Monday, and he told me that the owner wants to hire the electrician himself - so I try and get a hold of him, didn't happen until yesterday afternoon. His excuse was that he didn't know when I was home - well he bloody haven't ever bothered trying to find out... Then sent an email last night with a few comments and pictures of other unrelated house stuff, and stated that I expected him to get back to me today with a time for the repair - this haven't happened either.

At work: Asked a colleague in UK to send me a system cross list file by the beginning of the month. Kindly reminded her again last Monday, and gave a deadline of today, as I need to build an analysis for my trip to the UK plant next week. Haven't received anything yet, and her workday is over by now. Guess I'll be doing overtime thanks to her incompetence then...

i did wonder as i had to open a non paying bidder dispute before they paid. but courier has said they will pay up so i refunded the buyer.

Isn't that your job, along with putting the bins out. Not much else to do.:D

Shush you!...

Yep along with doing just enough to make sure she isn't violating the terms of the lease...so you know making sure it has oil and coolant. :(

I will never buy a low mileage, one lady owner car as long as I live unless it's at a sizeable discount.
