What's made you smile today?

Me and sam being thick

Taking the ulysse down to MOT, I was driving sporting behind when sam pulls over, the ulysse was making the most revolting screetching noise...really really loud...thought bugger why now, mine has been knocking on the engine for about a day and now his buggering up...

Have a look under the bonnet, the casing round the belt had snapped, pulled it off for now and tried to carry on, same noise, but worse!!!!

Have another look......turns out the cover for his headlights had fallen into his belts  lol One costly repair bill down .... phew..

Sporting was still knocking like a moo, got the ulysse to mot centre, checked for about the 10th time under my bonnet...no noise, only from inside the car..coming from behind the dash-ish......

listened, listened, listened, turned on wipers, noise stopped :D

So from what we thought could be 2 buggered cars, its actually only cost us £100 to get the ulysse sorted (y) so I'm smiling :D

Slapped a job advert for a job very similar to mine but for 11k more onto my bosses desk - he said he'd see what he can do as he needs to bring my salary in line with the rest of the world :slayer::slayer:

Fingers crossed!

Also found out my landy has two alternators  for some reason it makes me feel cool!

Third smile is that I get fuel back at just over 10p per mile (its a company car) and managed to average 68.6 mpg, so at 103.9 per litre i have some 'free' private mileage to come.

Cheers

Finally got the cinq running whoop whoop! What a biatch she was having none of it! Wouldn't jump from the landy  kept flooding and then cutting out smelt awesome but didn't really help.

Took the front part of air box off then swapped batteries over, odly enough started first time :bang: but then so did the landy from the duff cinq battery. Swapped them back for good measure LOL!

Dinner on it's way!
