surely that can't be a good thing for the church, but on the other hand could calm the skaters down as they wouldn't get drunk around it and cause trouble, but then would those sort of people go to the church to skate? i don't think so.
That is truly strange. Would never happen here in conservative New Zealand
I actually find the idea quite patronising (though I'm not a skater, and I don't go to church), it would be like a church building an indoor go-kart track so that I would go along. I agree with the visiting minister, oddly enough. If people truly believe, then God will be with them as they go about those activities elsewhere. Going to church is for people who feel closer to God that way. And that's fine by me.
Just down the road from here is an 'Apostolic Church' that seems to hold almost a disco every Sunday night - the place is packed. It's simply a large open space with a stage and powerful speaker and lighting systems. People sing their praises and dance the night away. Makes the middle of town on a Saturday night look dead in comparison...
thats the first thing i thought. its all a plan to get young boys into the church because attendance is so bad these days he cant satisfy his sexual appetite for fresh boy meat. :yuck:
if i was a pedo i'd definately be working in a church. its one of the few places a pedo isnt reported when caught, instead you get a transfer to another church so you can start abusing kids there instead. WTF?!
