Disclaimer, this is a guide to help you so use common sense and i take no responsibility if you damage your car.:)

If the mount has gone, you can normally have a rumbling though the car as the clutch pedal is being brought up, as the power from the engine being transmitted to the gearbox and moving the dead bush around more then it should.

If you leave the mount it can and will rest on the exhaust and dent it.

Things that you need;
.Axle stands
.Jack
.Socket set with a 13mm and 17mm Socket
.13mm and a 17mm spanner
.Crowbar or other item to use for leverage

I would also recommend that you wear overalls, gloves and goggles when under the car.

getting too the mount and removal

Firstly open the bonnet to give you some natural light (it all helps:p)

The easiest way i find to get the the mount without blocking your access is to have the front two wheels on the kerb with the car in gear, handbrake on if it works:ROFLMAO: and the rear wheels chocked

Or you can jack the car up from the front wishbone Where it mounts to the chassis and use the axle stand on secure place on the chassis

This is a shot mount that i was working with

You should be a jack under you engine sump with a plank of wood just encase your other mounts arn't that good to stop it from killing them (you will have to raise and lower the jack while removing and fitting the mount)

You will want to remove the two bolts (13mm) that hold the mount to the chassis

With those two bolts removed the engine should tilt forwards a bit showing the top of the nut/bolt combination

Now put a 17mm spanner over the top nut/bolt (depends with way it is for you) and the 17mm Socket on the end and undo them

remove the old mount along with the nut, bolt and washers

This is what the old mount was like, it tried to suck itself out

putting the new mount in

This was a very annoying part for me, the best way to get it in so to put the bolt in the top of the mount and prise the mount holder down to force the new mount in so the top is the large hole, then you push the bolt up into the hole but not out of the mount and you can slide the mount into place.

you should get another person to prise the mount holder down but i id it by myself :slayer:

You want to get the washer and 17mm nut on the large central bolt and do it up finger tight.
17mm.jpg

At this point you want to move the mount around so you have the holes about right for when you go to bolt it to the chassis, with it lined up as best ans you can get a spanner on the top and the socket on the bottom of the 17mm nut and bolt

With that done you can push the mount up to the chassis and put it the two 13mm bolts in my hand, when its done up finger tight nip them up

With it all done drop you car back onto the ground (not literally), clean up and tats a job done:slayer:

I hope this guide helps or gives you an idea what to do and how to do it
