So you can see that it's fairly easy to access but some bits need to come off.

I removed the battery cover, engine cover and induction pipe. That gives you a much better look at the offending article.

You'll note that my MAF is exposed in that pic, so the thing to do next is to cover up or shift anything that might get wet that we don't want.

It's not an issue I had so didn't picture but you need to check that any gearbox / bell housing inspection holes are plugged or safe.

Don't put cloths over stuff as they'll soak up the moisture and cause you a problem. Instead, tape stuff up with duct tape, wrap electrical connections in cling film and place plastic bags / sheets over stuff. That way water/coolant will run off these and into your drip trays.

You'll see I've placed a couple of rubber gloves over my MAF to stop coolant getting into that. Everything else I was able to move to a place I was happy with.
