Why dont you use a courtesy car for a week?
.

I think thats the best idea now, (on reflection and reading further through the thread). Be sure to leave it though, unused for a few days and see if its the same.

IMHO , all the different auto transmissions mentioned earlier in this thread are going to have different characteristics.

So the way I see it is you just need to compare dualogic with dualogic and not compare with other transmissions.
I`m sure everyone on the forum would be behind you in getting satisfaction if there is a problem that cannot be resolved on your particular car.

But if they are all the same and no one else has an issue with it what then?
Perhaps as you say, you would be OK with it in that situation.

I can`t help feeling a little sorry for Fiat/dealers as well though with its new presence in Aus and NZ and the Internets newsgroups filling with Fiat Dualogic problems.

Hope for everyones comfort and in particular yours , that you find a resolution soon

Regards:)

Only problem I have ever had with dual logic is brake switch errors.I was actually talking with someone recently who had to change a electro-valve on one (not a GP) but thats it...like I said these are very reliable systems.Remember these are way ahead of the old alfa selespeed units(y)

I'd still like to know what happens with it, believe me I want this to get sorted almost as much as you.

Keep us updated when you get some new info :)

I have the same problem, but mines a 6 speed h-shifter!

1st to 2nd is jerky when disengaging the clutch and sometimes makes a horrible noise

come on people. you just cant beat the good old manual box. unless u did what i did. redlined it in 4th then went into 3rd instead of 5th. doh! GPs dont like that.:bang:

I don't want to moan/go around in circles/**** people off/make enemies on the forum but I'll be more than happy to share what's going on via PM :)

Well if you do that it won't be helping anyone else who might come across this thread with the same problem...

It's your thread, do as you wish ;)

I don't think I was moaning/whining in the first place but just bouncing ideas back and forth - just don't want to be perceived as a nutter

Because this thread is now 18 pages long with no end in sight and I don't want to sound like a whiner ;)
