Technical My Fiat Jerk, when i change gear ..baang..what to do ?

I'm going crazy because my car jerks when I change gear sometimes

My car is Fiat Grande Punto 2006, petrol, engin 1.4

I change gear like this:

I press clutch pedal down, and put car i 1. Gear.
When the rpm is about 2000, I release the accelerator pedal completely and then press the clutch pedal down to change to 2nd gear.

But when I release the accelerator pedal, the car occasionally jerks baang.

what am I doing wrong... should I change the gear at 2000rpm, or is it too high or low?
