Hi, I'm a newbie needing some advice please!

Have stopped using the local Fiat dealer as they brought the cars in but now don't stock parts & really not interested. I have bought parts from UK & had shipped in for a fraction of the local quotes. Got a Tech & Mechanic, sorted, not quite! It's a Tiptronic model & every now & then gear problems, always says 'check transmission', before when this has happened the dealers said just needed fluid. Well how the do you change the transmission fluid, we can't find anything online. I told the Tech I do the research but getting nowhere. :bang:

Hi, No intention to stray into Punto Land, I'm a Qubo owner, though both daughters run Puntos. Had the same problem, 'check transmission' coming up on dash, failure to select gears etc, it was caused by the brake light switch going faulty...……...replaced and problem solved. A fair few of us have had exactly the same...….so check/replace the brake light switch 1st. Cheers Qube O.

Thanks for all your help, other parts I needed ordered from UK & arrived in 3 days! tech dealing with everything Monday including transmission fluids!
