first hi alll am new here and having issues after issues

was driving along today playing my fav track via usb then all of a sudden my head unit decides to turn off now wont turn back on also miles are flashing and only did a proxy alignment a week ago and looks like needs one again now

does anybody no the problem is it radio code i need to input or something else wrong?

The radio is hard coded to the ecu.
So unless the radio or ecu have been replaced at some point then you shouldn't need a code.

I believe proxy alignment is related to the can bus, and as the radio is powered by the can bus, i'd say the proxy alignment is probably related.

How old is the battery ??

battery is 9 year old think i should replace it what one do i need and from were?
so you suggestig it will need proxy algment again?
might it just be the fuse?

that's an antique in modern terms..

certainly won't hurt to replace it..,
got stop/start on the car..??

bettery will need to be better / specialist.. IF you have S/S


if not the battery. I would suspect a damp fusebox issue,
do a SEARCH

But you don't have that feature as this is the first GP model.

Hi this isnt a batter problem as car wouldnt start and u may have charging light on the dash if it wasnt charging. i would check the fuse for the radio and do another proxy alignment as if it popped a fuse it will need another. would say if it happens again needing a proxy alignment then there is a problem with the can-bus system see what happens and if u have a local fiat garage pop in see what they say mine close to me a spot really helpful

The mileage is flashing probably because the canbus system can't see the head unit. This will be as the headunit has either died, or a loose connection at the rear of it, causing the power failure and canbus connection error.

any idea were the fuse for streo is located ad the number please?

Not sure in the fuse box, but I think there may be an additional one in the rear of the head unit also, a lot seem to have this these days

thnaks checked fuse back of head unit and changed still unit wont power on any more ideas?
