Hi Guys,

Well it seems as though I have blown my stereo (the fuse has gone) and I have managed to snap the small crimp at the end of the internal fuse box which goes to the back of the stereo now I know the fuse is easy replaced.

My questions is does anyone know what type of crimp end this is:

I appreciate any help at all as I think I may have totally fooked my stereo :(

Thanks
Stephen

Hard to tell from the photo mate but looks like a bog standard crimp end like you would use for connecting speakers if I was you I would nip to halfords and see what they have. Even if its something simular the connector are usually easy to bend to shape if you get one that's to big/small.

Hope you can get it sorted mate.

Jordan.

I think these male are the ones you need though your photo is quite dark on my phonehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251162158550
If they are the right ones and you give me a couple of hours to have a look in a few boxes I might have some spares from a few years back that I can send to you...

Gavin thanks very much for your time and trouble mate but those are not the correct crimp ends. I had an old wiring harness which was broke so I took it apart and it had those connectors in it and they are not the same the ones I need are really small and seem to just be square all the way around.

Thanks again :)

Re: Help Please I have blown my stereo (Fixed)

Hello All,

I managed to fix my stereo for the sum of £3.68. All I needed was two new 15A Fuses and some female crimp connectors and all day today to do it.

So it is all back up and running again and I have to say I am surprised I was able to fix it myself.

I would like to thank GavinAshford for his time and generosity. One of the reasons why I love this forum there is always someone that will go the extra mile to help a fellow FF Member out. Thanks Gavin.

Kind Regards
Stephen

Good stuff, glad you've got it sorted and no worries. I really should sort my own live amp connection out so I don't just have rear speakers... This thread was just making me feel like I was sorting an issue so I could warrant avoiding my own lol
