Has anyone on here used any of the Fiat specialist garages on the links pages?? I cant even begin to think of paying £430 for the 2nd year service, so I gave one a call quoting £155 doing everything on the service schedule and using selenia. Experiences with any of them would be appreciated....

lol they must remember you from last time with your oil fiasco

I phoned four different dealers as my 2nd year service is due on the mjet soon, i got four different prices.

Cheapest: Fiat (Arnold clark) Ayr - full service £199
Dearest: Warrington Motors - full service £451
In between: Chapel House £425 and Forward Autos £365

All dealers were willing to negotiate on the price, with the exception of the Ayr dealer, they're cheap enough as it is. Everyone kept saying Ayr aren't doing a full service, but i phoned them and confirmed it is a full service, but gos knows how they can do it so cheap when the parts for 2nd year service come to around £170

I complained to fiat about the difference in prices, but they completely misunderstood what i was saying. They got a quote from one dealer based on the one car, but with dpf, aircon and then without dpf, aircon :bang:

They have advised me to email customer care and add my comments to the complaint, which i will be doing.

Its not part prices that are important/factor here as groups like arnold clark will buy in bulk, they will also undercut anyone to get in the work, often making a loss. My issue is quality of work...yes arnold clark do have good training facilities and many of the techs are very highly trained and normally feature in fiats top ten techs etc etc but who is actually working on your car? Well trained tech or apprentice (no offence to apprentices as there are some excellent ones out there) with little product knowledge, especially if not supervised?

The techs I have spoken to are frustrated with not given time to carry out a thorough job/doing more than one job at a time etc. I think we have all seen that anti-arnold clark website but when you look at it and read through all the complaints few are against the techs but directed more towards sales and managers.

Will be interesting to hear the response you get from Fiat, if any?
