General status 13 on my gp

was told today that my car is status 13, and was expected to arrive on the 13th october,

however i dint know what the status 13 is and get the feeling it is pre build stage and wont infact be here on the 13th october? any ideas anyone?

would you expect the car to be here by that date the beast?
as im not convinced it will be
 
I know that with the 500s status 16 to delivery averages around 6 weeks. But they all tend to be very different builds with different options. They are also built in a more efficient factory.

I never really had to deal with factory orders on GPs so can only use the 500 as my yard stick.

i do hope that is the case after being told that i would have it by the end of september at the latest
 
contacted my dealer today and was informed my car was still at status 16, it is still due into the dealer on the 13th but cant help think it will make it on time, does anyone have any idea on how often the fiat status changes and if 12 days is a realistic time for the car to make it to my dealers.

any info would be appreiciated.
 
16 : Fixed, Confirmed Order. your order is now fixed and can no longer be changed with regards factory spec.

20 : Built, Fairly self explanatory.

30 : Shipment, At dock waiting to get on a boat.

35 : Transit, On the water bobbing along to the UK

40 : Arrived, At the docks in good old Blighty

45 : Ready, Car is waiting for collection by transport company.

50 : With Delivery Instruction, Delivery instruction has been sent to transport company.

55 : Goods Out, Car is on a transporter on its way to your dealer

60 : Arrival at Dealership



I would be very surprised if they have your car in 12 days I'm afraid.
Unless he couldn't be arsed to find out what status it is, and just said 16 because you cna't change the car order then and it gives him more cover for length of time to get the car in.

As I'd have expected it to be past 16 by now. From when you first posted being at status 13.

i must admit he did respond rather sharpish and i asked him if the car was at status 16 and still for arrival onj the 13th, perhaps he was only responding to the date of the 13th.
If its not here by then i will not be happy:mad:, as it only 12 days away now from when it is due and this should be changed knowing that it will not be here by then

My fiat dealer are still telling me my car is staus 16 and due in to them on the 13th! anyone know how often the fiat computer is updated as my car sure as hell wont be here by then if it is still as 16 which it has been for nearly a month now.
dont know how they can keep saying its due the 13th when it hasnt got past status 16 :bang:, heres hoping it got a load of extras i didnt order for free lol

Not so miffed of with it being status 16, just the fact they keep telling me the 13th of october, there is no way if at 16 i will get it by then. surely the due date should of changed!

Mines been at status 35 for over a week now, so i very much doubt yours will be with you by the 13th. Don't know how long it takes for the boat journey, a while i guess. (n)

mine is also now at status 35, hopefully should be at the dealers by its new date of the 21st. perhaps about 4 - 5 days on the boat, mine was status 20 on the 10th, its probably on the same boat as yours

Mines in the country now, took nearly 2 weeks on the boat, which I guess includes loading and unloading. Should have it by the weekend with a bit of luck.

hopefully mine was on the same boat as yours lol, not sure when it went staus 35, and no idea how often they send them over on the boat, is due in on on tuesday so you never know! i shall keep my fingers crossed

Any news on yours? Mines been sitting waiting to be collected from the docks and delivered to the dealer for over a week now. Well annoying. :mad:

i was told that it arrived in the dock on friday, will know tommorow if its at the dealers, will then decide what freebie to ask for! the blue and me sat nav maybe, in my line of business if i made a customer wait over there stated period they would be getting the product for free!
