![]() | Re: Dodgy windscreen washers i dont think its fine at all, if there is light spray and your goin 80 you dont want them as fast as they go. You could adjust the speed in the ol punto, why make it worse in the new one. i just have to manually flick them on all the time |

Posts: 1 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | Smear/film on right hand side of window Got a new GFiat Punto sporting last Friday and all was well, but in the rain the past few days when I use the wipers right where I need to see out when the right hand wiper goes back down it leaves a smear/veil/film and it is really difficult to see at night in the rain with oncoing headlights? I tried wiping the blade with vinegar,,,no good. Then washing liquid, any ideas?

I gave the blade a thorough clean which along with some heavy rain has cleared the problem. Make the mistake of using the washer today though - instantly froze so I was forced to stop and scrape away! |

![]() | Re: Smear/film on right hand side of window sign of a knackered wiper blade, i have a new one sat in my room waiting to be fitted but im going to see if the old one will last the winter as ice and snow wrecks the blade.. I use Rain-X which if used monthly-ish means i can drive in rain (above 45mph) without using the wipers....... ![]() wipers are £11-£12 each from your Dealer or you can get them from shop4parts for about the same price (i live a fair way from the dealer) once you've added the P&P http://www.shop4parts.co.uk/

Posts: 887 Thanks: 20 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Dodgy windscreen washers My choice I suppose. As I have stated in other posts, life is too short to spend a large chunk of it hanging about waiting for a dealer to may'be fix your car. Unless my car dies on me, it won't be near a dealer until service time, it can then spend about a week with them getting all the faults fixed, then I'll get shot, after taking Fiat and/or Arnold Clark to court. Only reason I posted on this thread was to share with others that I also have dodgy washers. Really don't need reminded what a warranty is. Also have stated in some of my earlier posts that my warranty may indeed not be valid due to poor advice from my selling daler and wrong advice in warranty and service booklet dated February 2006. However, don't wish to bore everyone again with my problems.
