where do i stand if my local dealer can't get the computer back up and running

I was going to say ive certainly heard plenty of things along those lines on here. Its hard to say but whichever way you look at it, its under warranty so it needs sorting. I really dont know what the next step would be.

Im sure when T14086 reads this he will be able to give you the answer. He is like God here .

My missus has a 1.9 diesel Multipla ('06 model) which now has 6k miles on the clock and has loosened up considerably. Goes like stink and far more enjoyable power wise than my GP 1.4 16v

Depends if you had baked beans, roast potatoes or something more nasty

i have just gone over the 1500 miles mark now, and i have noticed that my GP is loosening up pretty nicely now, looking forward to it giving a bit more as a few more miles get added to it! enjoying the drive too, and loving the looks!

This is interesting as ours is doing exactly the same thing, When i rang fiat they told me it stops flashing and goes back to normal after 200 miles, didnt sound quite right to me but he sounded confident so i was waiting to see what happens. let me know how you get on as i feel a dealer visit may be on the cards. oh,, and our blue and me isnt working either...:bang:

the H is for dealer test driving.....after the car has completed a EOBD drive test cycle (which is approximately 7-8 miles under different road conditions/speeds) the car is ready for road use aslong aslong as no errors are detected.
Once this is done the H should be cleared by the dealer thus returning the mileage to zero for the customer to pick up the car...doesn't look good picking up new car with 23 miles on clock etc as it dont really feel new!
You can clear the H by holding the trip button in for 10 seconds if you wish or it will clear after 80miles.

The flashing display is due to non - proxy alignment (sychronisation of all modes/modules (of which the cluster is one of them) thus get your dealer to carry this out on examiner....it should of been done at PDI stage!

Be aware there is a software update for some instrument clusters aswell.

the h has gone now but miles still flashing and blue and me not working
when i took it to the dealer he said that the car would not let him do a proxy-aligned and ask if i could book the car in for a full day so he can have a look at whats going on hope he cansort it out i love the car

Sometimes I have found that disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery using the quick release connector....leaving it off for a couple of minutes and then reconnecting, re-boots the blue&me and gets it working.

just letting everyone know whats going on with my 1.9 sporting

its now been into fiat 3 times about the mileage flashing and other stuff ie menu for bluetooth not working
there tried to do a proxy-alignment but could not do it
had a phone call from them today
there are now saying that as i got the car from motorpoint and that it is an import there will not do the work under warrenty cost will be about 1000.00, which will replace the computer and display.

Any thoughts on this?????

That sounds like a real cheap excuse to me. They have tried to fix it but as soon as they start to struggle and cant find an easy answer they just play the import card. Why didnt they just say that to you in the first place before they even bothered.

I really dont know how you stand with this. Where was the car imported from do you know. Im aware that some models have european warranties so if a car was imported from Germany for example then you are still covered in the UK.

Does anyone know what menus should i have on the car (1.9 Sporting). Does anyone have a list of them. I know that I should have Blue & Me menus but what else? I want to make sure that these are on when Fiat fix the problem.
