Same here!

My old man's driving round in a K reg Toyota Corolla which was given to him by my Nan, and all the electrics still work except the tape player which needs a new belt, and only 1 speaker works, other than that it's still going, how long for I don't know since my old man knows sweet f all about car Mechanics!!

2 days ago, someone offered me a little over what i paid for the calibra, and it isnt even up for sale, lol

i rejected the offer, but like that, everything has its price.

if the guy comes back with an offer that tempts, i might already have a daily runner lined up! haha, talk about planning :p

what's that supposed to mean? lol, i've had 2 cinqs, 1 sei and 2 punto's and only 2 non fiats. i've still got more fiats now than i've had non fiats in my whole car history, lol

yup, it's red. i'm not sure what to do with it tbh, it is still for sale, but im too lazy to keep bumping adverts :p

Well, as im about 2 months away from mot time, i thought i'd look into why my brakes are so poor to see what i needed for the mot

and the result is not good.....

Front pads and discs are fine, i thought the flexis would be knackered tbh, but they look ok aswell, however..... ALL the brake pipes are horrificly corroded, now i know we had a harsh winter with alot of salt, but these were allegedly all replaced for the last mot, and i have the receipt to say they were done....they are goners.

the mushy feeling may have something to do also with the fact that the rear brake discs are more pitted and scored than anyone would believe, and the rear pads are short of meat on them, all this done with a fluid change would probably sort the stoppers out i think.

i genuinely think the previous owner has been ripped off by their last garage, theres no way those pipes are under a year old, and theres also no way they've been giving it a full service like they've billed for...... i should have taken photos of the oil filter, i've never seen one in worse condition, thats allegedly a year old aswell? ok, i've got a feeling that was last changed in about 2001 tbh, the state of it looks about right for 9 years of road use.

the only evidence i can see of it getting servicd at all is the fact the air filter is in good nick
