Does anyone know if the engine is in another vehicle or if there is a manual for that engine?

The Fiat 2.5 TDI was an Iveco 8140.47, from which the 2.8 idTd, Iveco 8140.43 was developed. The 2.8 idTD was further developed into the 2.8 JTD, Iveco 8143.43s.


I would expect some similarity, so in the abscence of other sources perhaps info for the later engines may help.

The best you might get hold of is a Peter Russek manual, which certainly has an amount of engine information in it.

The issue is determining just which, if any, is relevant to your vehicle, particularly as the Russek website is currently non-accessible (do I remember they ceased trading?).

Anyway, this purports to cover the 2.5 and 2.8 Sofim engine from 1994, so just might be the appropriate one - no guarantees from me, though.

The WSM covering a Pre 98 Iveco Daily probably contains the info you require but the engine section Iveco 8140.47 PDF is 64 MB - too big to upload - PDF attachments are limited to 23.84MB. The maintenance section which only refers to an Iveco Daily using the same engines is attached.
Will look into an alternative method of accessing it.

One really good place to share large files is a torrent site.
It's perfectly legal if you are sharing non copyright material.
Would that be an option?
