Hi folks, many thanks to those who advised on timing belt all done now with good parts by Tollgate MOT, Stafford.
Further problems.......rear offside indicator shows weak light and reversing light shows with it (also weakly) Put car in reverse, reverse light ok and indicator back to full strength. Car in neutral and indicator is still good.
This first happened many months ago and after looking for problems in the rear unit a good thump got it showing a strong light ....till this morning. Said thump doesn't seem to be effective this time but as I said the reversing light seems to have done it. Still needs fixing though, what is it boys and girls?

First thing I would check for is a bad earth connection near the light unit.

Thanks Jabe whereabouts would it be?
Sorry, although I've sorted similar problems with various cars over the years, I cannot say for certain because (a) I have not yet needed to remove my Doblo light unit and (b) yours may be a different model.

The topic has cropped up a few times on this forum and others.

As Vcrazy says plug to light cluster corrodes\ burns can produce all sorts of faults
Light comes off easy 2 or 3 ST & a 17mm well on ours 57 plate, note there is no mention of nut in instruction
