Hi Guy's I was changing the Brake Light on my 03 Fiat Doblo Jtd, when the the Bolt dropped down inside, ( in my opinion a nightmare of a design) Is it possible to retrive that Bolt, and if so how, or can i use another type Bolt. Any help would be really be appreciated. Many Thank's.

Are you sure it's the bolt that's dropped down? The cluster is held in place by a nut which resembles a section of tubing crimped around a threaded rod to produce a nut.
These daft nuts are relatively cheap to buy although my local stealer had to order one in (after telling me that this was a very common complaint!). I've since stuffed some large bits of foam into the void so even if the nut falls out of my socket, it's got nowhere to fall.

Hi sludgeguts, sorry you are correct, its the ''Nut'' that slipped down. Good to hear that one can be got. many thank's for your reply.

Hi sludgeguts, just a quick reply to say, i managed to retrieve the Nut, by opening this Panel (see pic) and using a pen type magnet.

I lost the earth connection on my passenger side rear light cluster today. All sorts of bulb errors! None of them related to the bulbs in use. When I removed the cluster the plug was loose and easily tightened up by squeezing the contacts in the plug. However, when I tightened the awkward nut the bolt snapped! After much fiddling and with a lot of help from my father in law an M6 nut and a suitable washer have done the trick. Would also work if you lost the crappy original nut too.

Aha! So that's what is causing the random fake bulb failure messages! I am assuming that the earth is one of the connectors in the multi socket for the tail light cluster?

I had a problem with one side completely not working.
The female connecter inside the multi-plug looks like it was too loose for the spade terminal. This caused quite a lot of arcing.
Fortunately, the earth terminal is at one end of the plug so I only had to mangle a bit of the plug to get at the connector.
After cleaning the terminals I re-connected the plug & made sure to crimp the female firmly onto the male.
seemed to me that the connectors are made of the cheapest, softest metal they can find
