Hi everyone,

I'm having problems with windows Vista (n)

Basically every time I start windows Vista, get a error message on the desktop saying that it cant find:

"D:\installs\TeraEth\VTruck.exe"

"D:" is my CD-ROM drive, but it has nothing in it. I have no idea what its referring to so cant even put in the disk its after.

Ive searched my hard drive for files relating to "TeraEth" and "VTruck" but there's no programmes or files.

Ive looked in MS CONFIG under startup and again theres nothing that refers to either of them in their, so I cant stop this message coming up EVERY time I turn on the computer!!

Please Help!!!!!

Microsoft have a knowledge base article for this!

Method 2: Disable the Virtual Truck program

When you disable the Virtual Truck program, it cannot load when you start the computer. Because this method works only for older versions, verify your version of the software. Later versions re-create this link. To disable the program, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to your computer with an account that has administrator credentials.
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. Type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK.
  4. Click the Startup tab.
  5. In the Startup Item list, clear the CFD.EXE check box, click OK, and then restart your computer.
  6. Test to verify that the issue is resolved. If not, go to Method 3.

  3. When the removal is complete, click Close to close the Add or Remove Programs window.
  4. Restart the computer.
Step 2: Manually remove the files that are associated with the program

To manually remove the files that are associated with the program, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Search.
  2. In the Search Companion dialog box, click All files and folders.
  3. In the All or part of the file name box, type vtagent.
  4. In the Look in box, click drive C (or the boot drive), and then click Search.
  5. Make sure that the returned files in the right pane are associated with the Virtual Truck program, and then delete all the files.
  6. Remove the shortcuts to the Virtual Truck program from the following folder:C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up
Step 3: Remove the registry keys that are associated with the program
