I have a problem with my Wife's Seicento. 2002, no ABS.

It failed its MOT with amongst other things with resistance on the rear axle.

After examining I found other problems so ended up replacing:-

Rear brake cylinders
Rear brake shoes
Seals on front calipers
Master cylinder
Have eased off the wear ridge on the drums and adjusted shoes to a tight fit.
Handbrake adjusted to 4 clicks and works well.

Now I cannot get it to bleed correctly. With engine off I have a soft mid pedal. With engine off it goes straight to the floor though it will lock the wheels when road testing.

Foot on brake as engine starts the pedal sinks further so servo should be ok?

I have bled using vacuum method
Have opened all the nipples to allow fluid to run out.
Had my Wife pressing the pedal slowly, trad method
Have used furthest to nearest sequence
Gone through 1.5+ Lt of fluid.

I am now right out of ideas. To me it feels like a faulty master cylinder but is new. Could be faulty I suppose.

Any ideas please.

I think so from what I have read on here.

If I press the pedal to the floor it sinks slowly and after 7 presses there is not drop in the reservoir.

I have ordered another master cylinder, Pajet make. Can't think what else it might be.
