hi guys think my seis finally had it so im going to get the engined swapped (it wasnt serviced regular or cared for much anyway)does anyone know of any cheap seis/puntos breaking depending on the price i might put a 1242 in

also i am write in thinking that all the models of sei with an 1108i engine use the same ones and just different gearboxes for the sporting excluding the spi/mpi difference

Anyway.

There are two 1108 engines, SPi and MPi.

The block is the same, the heads are different.

1242, the same, but the block is 10mm taller than the 1108.

You need to match the head of the engine you buy o the induction you have.

Check with your insurers before you get 1242. Get a quote and take out the modified policy just before you put the engine in.
