I have a 1.1 cinque sporting and I have recently done a engine swap from a 1.1 cinque engine to a punto 55 1.1 enigne...and have a problem. When I start the car the revs immediately build to two and a half thousand, i let it run like that for about 30 seconds and the reves go right down to 1000rmp and then shoot back up to 2500rpm and then back down. this will keep happening however long i keep the engine running.
was just wondering if anybody knows what it could be

Throttle cable too tight.

Two pipes on back of TB erse fur tit.

the throttle cable is fine ia have checked that out what pipes do you mean sorry last bit of message didn't make sense

Hardly surprising it didn't make sense, I often don't.

There are two vacuum tubes on the back of the TB. If you have them the wrong way round the car will object in a similar manner to that being experienced by yourself.

Runs perfectly when cold, gets grumpy when it warms up.
