Got that 48mm TB from a 1.6 16v Bravo/a, ta mate ;)

Also Kristian tipped me off that if you get the fuel rail off a brava 1.2 16v, and mount it onto the mk1 sporting inlet manifold.. you can use the injectors that come stock with the 1368cc stilo / panda / 500 engine. These injectors are the same physical size as the ones used on the abarth, and on the t-jets. The only option prior to this was spending around £80 per injector for some injectors from a Ducati Monster.

all goes in 'ere;

the new injectors dont seat as far into the ports as i'd like, but they do seal to the manifold. Might look into re-jigging the holes.

Would this setup work on a P75 block?

what kind of perofrmance increase are you looking at roughly?

Thanks.

dunno re performence increase, it was done to allow more scope for tuning later on - it's mapped nowhere near its potential.

might work on the p75 setup, i've got a p75 manifold in the garage i'll have a a look and see if the old 16v fuel rail will fit it. if you were to use the same setup as me you'd need an external fuel reg as there is not one on the modern plastic fuel rails.

Can't see the fuel rail working as the P75, surely, has uneven spacing between the injectors as do all the 8v MPIs,

(Here's one I butchered earlier, shown with the P75 injector and a pico type out of an MPI.)

while the spacing on the 16v are even (1 bank of 4). But it should be possible to mount the injectors (maybe with a little modification to the mounting lugs). Depending on the ECU you're using you may have issues with the impedence of earlier and later injectors.

I have some Monster injectors I got for £25 each.........

great stuff :D

REgarding the dpeth of the injectors into the holes, should be easy enough to modify, but it is purely the o-ring that provides all of the sealing, so should be ok. Get hold of some t-jet ones and the nozzle will be sitting a lot closer to the valve anyway :D

Got it running and fitted yet? Curous how it feels and sounds :D

Kristian

it's all fitted and running, fueling is way out atm and currently busy sorting a last minute move to Sheffield, so not had the time to sort it.

will be on the lookout for some t-jet injectors :D

ok, venting the tank - how?

With the old setup it never seemed to be a problem that I have no vents on my tank - with the new injectors jsut driving 10miles put a lot of pressure in there.

I still have the old pipe that went to the charcoal cansiter from the tank, it is currently capped off. Should I just un-cap this, and then do what with it? Feed it into my induction before the butterfly via the old purge solenoid wired to the ignition.

What is MOT req re this?

What if the depth of the holes was altered? Would it possibly fit then?

Does the K series inlet mani fit on P75 blocks?

Thanks

Like Arc says. The P75 mani (or a MPI Sei mani) can be used. The MPI looks to be a better shape, but being plastic doesn't really lend itself to modification. The P75 and MPI inlet manis are interchangeable, but the P75 will need the servo take off relocating to fit in the engine bay.

No point whatsoever fitting injectors bigger than the engine needs (except for scope for tuning) as they'll make it difficult to get it to idle properly.

K series inlet won't fit P75 head without major re-engineering of the mani (easier to make one) but does look like a better shape. Injectors for 16v engines are likely to have a different spray pattern to 8v ones, although this isn't always the case.

What are you trying to do?

Despite selling arc my TB, I have decided to play with this setup as well. Main reason, I want to control the IAC so i understand how it works before trying to mess with it once the ITB's are installed. I'd like idle control on that as well.

Cheers arc for taking my idea, and putting it into practice first. Best setup of standard fiat intake i think. Larger TB, but metal manifold. Going to port mine once i start fitting it all.

Arc, can't remember if I have posted these before, but I think they may be of use to you possibly:

It contains the AIT and MAP curves if you ever wanted to use the OEM sensor for both signals.

I'm not sure of the part number, (am trying to verify here) but I think that pdf covers it.

If its the MM part, PRT/05, I can't find the specification for it, but I assume its the same as the PRT/1. The 105kPa is the same scale, so its more than likely.

Cheers,

Kristian
