as the sunroof leak affects every bravo/a its not too hard to imagine a previous owner removing the courtesy light when attempting to solve the leak, and then forgetting to reconnect the wiring multiplug on refitting the light.

the 2 screws holding the light in are hidden behind a couople of semicircle shafed plastic covers, they pull off easily enough.

Thanks guys.

Jug, there is no sunroof as it has air con (apparently rare according to the italian expert in the next town).

Does the console also house the alarm reciever?

yep the reciever (aka head reader) is there.

wow no sunroof. so you'll have a dry and quiet car (y) . must be one in a million.

BUt boy does it sound nice. Haven't got it yet. Could this be a reason why the alarm doesnt work/remote doesnt work?

So in theory do i just re connect head console and replace key batteries and away we go. And turn back on alarm if its turned off?

At the end of the day, im sure it can be replaced - just at cost thats all :(

as long as the alarm hasnt been disabled because it had a fault then you should be fine. its almost always disabled because the remote has stopped working due to flat battery or damaged connection on the button solder.

when i got my bravo one alarm had a flat battery and the other had snapped solder on the button. both work perfectly now :)
