Hi I am a new user hope im in the right place I have a bootiful 1996 Barchetta in Broom Yellow it currently has a aftermarket Momo steering wheel which I want to replace with other compatible Fiat (preferably leather)wheel I bought a coupe version having been told it would fit but unfortunately no go:bang:, can anyone help and advise does Punto Mk1 or Mk2 Hgt or sporting fit before I waste another bunch o money.

i was also told that will fit from coupe, but never try. what is problem? why doesn't fit?

btw: try asking Henk from http://www.barchettaparts.com he should have some original

Hi the inner Coupe Wheel diameter is 1mm smaller than the Barchetta spline fitment.

I do not know about other Fiats, but Punto mk1 GT has identical steering wheel.

I tried fitting a coupe steering wheel too but to no avail.. thankfully I had a broken coupe in the garden and didnt have to shell out for a new steering wheel..

I like it, too bad you will lose your airbag.

That does have me thinking! but would my air bag really work in the unfortunate circumstance of a prang, she is a 1995 model..

I dont ever recal seeing any B's in salvage with Airbags shot..

I wonder if there is a way to test if they will work without damaging them..

If your airbag lights aren't on the airbag should work in a front inpact of the car.
But as you said, I havn't seen one too with airbags out

Sadly I have seen pictures of two Barchettas with airbags deployed. Given the shape of the rest of the car, I would be glad for them.
