I've been told by my dealer that the uconnect on the 500X is upgradable via a USB stick. He says that we need to get into the uconnect website (I think its https://www.driveuconnect.eu/) and we can download upgrade files that we place into a USB stick, which we then plug into the dashboard USB port.

Has anyone actually tried this procedure? Does it upgrade the navigation maps?

Have not tried it yet, but re the Tomtom maps, I am sure mine updated automatically along with the e connect software. I have roads shown in red indicating heavy slow traffic next to my planned route road, I never had that when I first got the car.

Interesting... I wonder if there is a difference between the updates via the uconnect live app and the USB.
