So in July last year my 500L had a transmission problem, requiring several 30amp fuse changes and a few mils of transmission fluid, and a visit to Fiat dealer. Problem appeared to be solved, so foolishly I decided to keep it.....
Today the transmission light came on, it became hysterical saying use less gears, then put into neutral, then it wouldn’t go into any gear. So I topped up the transmission fluid, it went into gear, I got home. Didn’t blow a fuse.
We are now bitterly regretting keeping the car, once sorted it’s definitely going the journey! Bloody thing.

So.. where is the fluid going?

What remedial work was done in july.?

It should still be under warranty.

Bad connection causing fuse to blow, no idea where fluid went, no leaks. Still non the wiser. They said it could be hydraulic pump, but weren’t sure, so took it away, it never went wrong till yesterday. A mechanic thinks it could be sticking clutch, but I’ve not noticed any juddering on pulling away.
Trading it in ASAP but it’s going in to be looked at first.

Latest update, on way to garage it came out of gear and wouldn’t engage stopping in middle of road, off a roundabout. Switched engine off, waited 5 mins put back on and it would engage in 2nd only, got to garage. Computer reader put on, clutch issue but not showing what it could be and no fix listed by manufacturer. Car now won’t do anything, was towed back home. Hubby going to fiat to see what they say. Garage said could be the push rod not going completely in so not engaging gear, or could be new gear box needed...... shoot me now.
