Hi.. I have just purchased a 2016 66 Plate "S" with "U connect". The car was advertised with having Apple Carplay, something I really want on the car...

I have plugged my phone in with a cable but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the display screen.. do I need to update the system? Or am i missing something completely?

Siri activated but still no CarPlay...

Does anyone know if the 7" display on the S comes with CarPlay factory fitted?? I can't seem to find a definitive answer..

It was part of the Tech Pack and I believe you had to pay to activate it when it first became available. We bought a 19 plate Lounge in May with the Tech Pack and it works as soon as you plug it in to the USB port.

My experience of car play on any car is it pings up on the screen when you plug the phone in

I have tried nearly everything but still no joy. I also can't seem to get a definitive answer - spoke to 2 different fiat garages... one said yes the 7" screen comes with it another said opposite.

Does anybody know if I can get the software upgraded to get CarPlay?

We have this Head unit. Plug the iPhone into the USB port and it fires straight into the Apple CarPlay mode.
