Filling the screen wash I had to bend down and saw the tyre looking "quite worn" glancing at the passenger side it looked fine I know it will need new ones before winter, then I looked 180 deg round the worn tyre and these are the two pictures of the same wheel the car drives perfectly?
Not seen this before

Is the worn spot at the dent?
Uneven wear suggests that tyre is not round.
Possibly not on rim properly, check around close to the rim, there are lines that should be equidistant all around.
Wheel not round. With it on the car, rotate it gently while holding a pointer close to it. Pointer will need resting on something to avoid it moving.
Out of balance. Do you suffer any vibration around 50-60mph? If tyre is heavier here it will wear more at that point.
Seems to afflict that tyre only, so check wheel and raid the piggy bank for two tyres.

I'd certainly be having the car in for a Hunter wheel alignment.

I believe you swapped out the front struts a while back? Do you have any idea whether the track rod ends are in reasonable shape? or the control arm?

Have the pressures been monitored during the life of this tyre?

Thanks for the replies yes it needs tracking but I'll wait until I've replaced the top mounts every other bit of the front is only 18 months old(original track rod ends ), no vibration, car pulls left slightly to left under braking, worn section is where minor dent in rim is tyre 3 years old 24k pressure checked about once a month at book pressure of 32psi .
Add to this rear wheels going down due to leaking round the valve stem seals(probably corrosion ) plus possibly out of true front wheel, I'm leaning towards new steel rims and two new tyres, once I've done the top mounts then tracking ( but then do I replace the track rod ends too?) That'll be the entire front suspension replaced complete bar the steering knuckle.

Ebay may have some wheels, but need to see both sides to avoid another bent one. Or try these guys: https://www.oponeo.co.uk/steel-wheels-finder
Oh and do I up the front pressure 2 psi?
Find the website for the tyre brand and see if they have pressure recommendations, often tyre manufacturers suggest higher pressures than Fiat.
I'm running my Panda about 2psi higher than Fiat say, with better handling, quieter, and more comfortable. As recommended by the tyre manufacturer.
