I've just recently bought a 2009 Fiat 500 and am having a lot of troubles connecting my iPhone in order to play music. I'be bought an adaptor and have updated the Blue and Me system but it still isn't working. When I go on settings on Blue and Me, media player isn't coming up as an option (it has been replaced with update) and even when my phone is connected, no media is being found.

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Could be wrong but think it does not support streaming especially with I phone

I have a 2008 500 and also recently purchased a Blue and Me adapter and it has been working perfectly with my iPhone 6s. I had to update the Blue & Me firmware to 5.6 which is the latest. My car only had 1.0 so I had to update to 5.5 first and then 5.6. Did you update your to 5.6? Also if you have an iPhone 7 or & plus it may not work as I believe they are not supported yet. Hope you can get it working as its great when it works.

Please note that there have been changes to the Blue&Me hardware during the life of the 500; not all firmware is compatible with the earlier cars and the functionality you may have on a current model 500 will not be the same as the functionality on a 2009 car.

There have been reports of folks who've applied an incompatible firmware update and bricked the Blue&Me module. The current Blue&Me website has a two-step procedure for downloading updates to ensure you only attempt to install updates which are compatible with your own car's Blue&Me hardware; I'd strongly suggest this procedure is followed carefully to avoid getting into a situation which may be difficult or expensive to recover from.
