So is this all 500s then or only later ones

Can't understand Fiats Logic at times.

I think standard is one-touch on driver's side only, but may have been a cost option for the passenger side. The passenger of course can hold the button without the driver losing control. (stop sniggering)

If I remember correctly, some time in the eighties, there was an incident with a small child left in a Fiat car, (Regata I think) and the child pressed the close button while its head was out the window. Window rose under his neck, lifted him too high to press the down button and strangled him. He died. The press blamed Fiat.

The pressure sensors in those days were not as clever as they should be, so for some reason, the car manufacturer was blamed. Fiat responded by removing one-touch from everything for some years, until the sensors became more sensitive and more reliable.

Despite the fact that the windows would only work with the ignition key in and turned to MAR, no-one seemed to question why the parents had left two small children in the car, with the keys in, so apparently no blame was pointed at them.

Sadly we seem to be heading towards the American way, where if we make a mistake, it must be someone else's fault. (e.g. have to depress clutch before starting. If we drive it through a wall, must the manufacturer's fault!)

Yes, it's such a big problem to have to hold the button down, it's hardly the American way, it's just common sense.

Just tried it out on our new shape Panda and it is one touch down on both sides, but only one touch up on the driver's side.

Just tried it on my 2012-build 500C and it's the same as yours. Interesting, I always assumed it was one-touch close on both windows! Just goes to show how little attention to detail I have :D
